OMG it is unbelievable all the errors and issues that I have found with Tina Givens patterns. I have even called them and emailed them several times and I'm not getting a very good response from Tina Givens. A lot of the patterns have low armholes the pants are 5 to 6 inches too short for me and I'm only 5 5 the pattern instructions like you said are minimal and sometimes they leave things out and sometimes they're incorrect. Tina Givens should have a caveat with her patterns that says buyer beware the pattern may not be correct. I recently downloaded the Beatrice pattern. Upon making this piece I discovered that the back panel was about six and a half inches shorter than the front panel so it did not match the side panels nor the front panel and it looked horrible. When contacting Tina Givens they me to add a piece on to the bottom of the back panel. I said well that's fine but it still looks like you added a piece on to the back. It does not play well. And that's not the point. The point is you put out a pattern that doesn't work. I'm still waiting to hear from them in regards to this pattern. Because quite frankly I don't know if I didn't follow the instructions well or if the pattern is actually incorrect. Really Tina, when we buy a McCall's pattern or a Simplicity pattern or a Vogue pattern it usually works. I believe that Tina Givens should be held to the same standard. Tina please give your buyers patterns that are well constructed and include the correct instructions. I have wasted a lot of time and expensive material working with her patterns. Now I am reluctant to buy a Tina Givens pattern because I fear that it will have major problems.Linnie Art Studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15571793433951701387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33215142.post-14764673596540056102016-05-16T16:42:40.406-07:002016-05-16T16:42:40.406-07:00It's just divine ! Judging from your photographs, we have similar shapes. My cotton fabric is embellished. I'm thinking about a few pleats instead of the ruffle, and maybe a shorter overlay.
