New Pants - V1197

I just finished making these new pants and I really like them. They are not quite a legging, but they are not quite trousers, either. They are a slim pant. They actually look slimmer on the pattern envelope, so I'm thinking that maybe I should have made a size C instead of a size D. I will definitely make these again. There is no side seam, but there is a slit in the side. Super fast and super easy. These will work well with some of the longer tops I've been wanting to make.

I am glad to see you posting frequently again. I have looked at this pattern many times. I am definitely a pear shape, do you think these pants would work? I hate to spend the money if they wouldn't. Thanks

I am a pear shape so I originally planned to only wear these pants with shirts that were longer than hip length. I'm really pleased with them and think they could be worn with any top.

They look great on you. I like the narrow pants tunic top which I could do as well, but my butt is so flat that I have to choose whether I want to sit down or have serious back wrinkles. I also love your hair longer; it's really flattering.

One more question, what fabric did you use?

I think they look great and would look good with tunics, too. Is that an orange striped cat I see in your photo?

The fabric I used on these is a heavy ponte knit. Next time I'd like to use a lighter weight knit since the ponte is very heavy and warm.
