It's Thursday

Yeah, that's the catchiest title I could think of. NO sewing is getting done here, even though I have great motivation like this:

(two new knits from Gorgeous Fabrics)

and this:
( yay! My new CoverPro has arrived, but I haven't even had time to plug it in!)

The fabric above I purchased to make 2 body suits, but I think I'm going to turn the brown one into a dress/ tunic.

I'm hoping this weekend to make a pair of quick pull on pants and top.
I've been spending much time checking out assisted living and skilled nursing facilities for my father. Have taken 2 days off work to go to court, and many hours of decision making regarding what will best suit his needs - and what can we actually get him to do. Right now my brother is taking time off work to stay with him until we can get better living arrangements in place.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Once you get through this, it looks like you'll have a little sewing fun. I'm sure this is really tough right now. I hope everything works out, and yes, Christ can strengthen you through it all!

Good Luck with finding appropriate accomodations for your father. My dad did NOT want to spend any time in a nursing home. I have LOTS of siblings, and they all took turns -- I live thousands of miles away, and that was hard too.

Nancy, good luck finding just the right place for you dad.

I'm wondering, who made the beautiful pineapple doily in your coverpro photo? I have dozens of these made by my great-grandmother.

Annie just bought a shirt in a very similar material to the one on the right....very pretty Nancy!

...and we are praying for you and your family regarding your Dad's situation. I wish I had some great advice or could make it all 'better' but I admire the way you are handling such a stressful and painful situation.

see you tomorrow!

I have this same machine. CoverPro 900, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I hope you enjoy yours. Good luck with your Dad. Times like that can be very stressful and wearing.
